....Here are the basics--feel free to email me for details!....
My belongings, my pictures, the tangible evidences of my life are now boxed away and ready to pack into my Hyundai Sonata...
Yes, it's true... I'm moving. Don't gasp just yet (kidding)...
Actually, I'm relocating for the best reason in the world:
His name is Nathan.
We met in Las Cruces, NM on March 18 '06 at a mutual friend's wedding (some of y'all have met my friend Rosie -- she was stationed in Germany for 3 years and returned in Jan '06; I visited her in Germany in OCT '05).
After Rosie's wedding, Nathan (living in Wisconsin) and I began emailing/writing back and forth...finally, calling...becoming more and more frequent. His first visit to TX was over Easter weekend, when he finally met my family. The following weekend I flew to visit him and his family in La Crosse, Wisconsin. We were rapidly falling in love. They say, "when you know you know" and they weren't kidding. I took another trip to visit him and his mom's side of the family in Chicago (another perfect weekend), then he came down to FW for Memorial Day weekend... after that, I went up to WI mid-June, then we flew to visit his friends living just outside of D.C. They live on the beautiful Potomac river in Virginia, where Nathan asked me to be his wife. It happened to be Father's Day, June 18 (exactly 3 months since we met) when we went for an early morning canoe ride, watched the sun come up, had a beautiful breakfast on the river's edge...etc...then he proposed. It was beautiful. I was on cloud nine with a sparkly rock on my hand. :)
Now I'm back in Texas; planning a September wedding in D.C., where we got engaged and where his new job is located!
Thanks to friends for your support and prayers through this transition in life. Y'all are precious to me!
Please let me know if you'd like to keep in touch... We will probably find our way back to Texas in the next couple years.
